Whether singing, dancing, playing various instruments, or conducting his great ensemble, he keeps his audience totally excited and entertained. From the moment he steps in front of an audience, there is instant communication. Words do not do justice to the experience of Joe and his friends.

Hispanic Heritage of Florida Conference 2012

Time: 9:30 pm til 5:30 pm

Location: Tampa Bay History Center

Description: The Institute for the Study of Latin America and the Caribbean (ISLAC) at USF in collaboration with the Florida Humanities Council and numerous community sponsors will bring together the most prominent international scholars of Hispanic Florida for a two day conference to commemorate Florida's Quincentenary. New research will be presented around the following themes:

Spanish Conquest and Colonization, 1513-1821
Spanish Florida in the 19th and 20th Centuries
Trans-Atlantic Studies: Migration, Exile, Diaspora
Latin America and Florida: Today and Tomorrow
