Archaeology Lab Days

Time: 1:00 pm til 4:00 pm

Location: Meet at the Meet at Train Depot Museum in Brooksville and drive to Ridge Manor

Description: The Historic Hernando Preservation Society Presents Archaeology Lab Days. During this event volunteers will clean and record artifacts excavated from the William Hope Homestead located on Hope Hill.

The site is also the location of Chocachatti, "Red Town," by Creek Indians, who later became known as "Seminoles." The site is also located near Chocachatti Prairie. These are unique and important sites in the history of the Seminoles & Hernando County.

Time: Meet at the Russell Street Train Depot Museum in Brooksville @ 12pm (Noon). (The Russell Street Train Depot is located on Russell St. one block off Main St. in Brooksville) We will then drive to Ridge Manor to the artifact processing site on the Withlacoochee River. Begin at 1:00 pm, Ending time: 4:00 pm. *Those who know where Toni's place is, may meet directly there at 1:00 pm*
