Description: On Saturday January 1, & Sunday January 2, 2011 the Dade Battlefield Society will be hosting a reenactment of one of the first battles of the Second Seminole War. The battle began on December 28,1835, when a column of 107 soldiers led by Major Dade were ambushed by the Seminole warriors in Sumter County, Florida.rnrn The Admission for the reenactment is $7 for those 6 and up. Special organization (Scouts, schools, churches, etc.) rates:- Prepay $3/child 6-17 years, $7/adult.
